SUBSTRATE PREP. : SPC #2 Hand tool cleaning to remove all loose mill scale, rust, and other detrimental matter.

BAKE TEMPERATURE: Air Dry

APPLICATION METHOD: Dip or Spray

WELD THROUGH: ArmorChem 2500 Gray Primer can be welded through to yield sound welds

EQUIPMENT SETTINGS : For Air Spray: Binks Model 10 Spray Gun with #66 fluid nozzle and air cap. Use 50-70 pounds of air pressure.

GLOSS:  1- 10 Degrees (60 Deg)

APPLIED OVER: Clean Steel

HARDNESS: B pencil

USED UNDER : Alkyd, 1 part Urethane, 1 part epoxy topcoats

IMPACT RESISTANCE: 20 In-lbs. 

REMARKS:

ArmorChem 2500 Gray Primer was formulated as a lead and chrome free gray shop primer to meet requirements of the Steel Structures Paint Council, Paint Specification #15, Steel Joist Shop Paint, Type I. Panels painted with one coat of this primer withstood 150 hrs. exposure to 5% salt spray tested with accordance with ASTM B 117-73. Read Material Safety Data Sheet before using.
